I had no health problems and was doing really well for a 41 year old until this fall. My blood pressure was normal, blood tests for cholesterol were great, all things were good. I got a flu shot-was expecting and my OB convinced me of the need. Found out 10 minutes later that our baby had already died in the womb. I don’t know if it was the stress of losing another baby (it was about half way through the pregnancy), the D&C that followed, or the flu shot but my blood pressure has been really high from that point forward. My heart is often racing and pounding. I went from no problems exercising on the elliptical to having my heart feel like it is pounding out of my chest. After 5 minutes at a slow pace my heart rate is 179 beats per minute. I have other issues that are new to me as well.

I have a physical scheduled in a few weeks as I am very concerned about the recent and fairly dramatic changes that started less than 4 months ago. I know there will be no answers regarding the flu shot and heart issues from an MD, but want to make sure about what is really going on.

Do your own research. Do not trust the medical profession to tell you the truth.

Losing a child will effect the body. I’ve lost 2. Not to miscarriage. My second child was born full term minus 2 weeks. He was born with Cytomagalic disease. A viral infection. He lived 33 days. I lost my second son to a sociopath killer at 16 who just wanted to feel what it was like to kill and chose my child to ambush and beat to death.

My baby sister developed Lichen Planus after a flu shot.

The last one I had was the first Super Flu shot. I was sick for 2 weeks, lost 10 lbs and had to go to the ER for a IV I was so dehydrated. I refuse them now.

Flu shots carry dangers.

Have you had your thyroid checked by an ENDO? Fast heart rates go with your thyroid being off. And pregnancy often triggers Thyroid issues that go unrecognized by GYN or PCP. Do NOT USE a PCP, use an ENDO as they have 3 additional years training in ENDO diseases. After they become Internist.
