Anti lock brakes don’t skid. At least mine don’t.They do initially, if you hit the brakes hard enough. I've owned several vehicles with them, and there's always an initial skid, and occasionally additional skids as the brake system goes through its paces.

ABS brakes do leave marks. They tend to be faint, but show up dramatically well on white road paint.
