If you’re asking for government to step in and solve problems, that’s precisely the issue that we deal with as conservatives ... trying to stop that mentality, stop those programs and stop the “nanny state”. AND ... a real big deal with conservatives is having the “nanny state” in their families. SO it’s like asking the DEVIL for help in your problem when the DEVIL is trying to destroy everything you stand for. It’s a deal that won’t work.
SO ... it’s NOT the part of “not having answers” that would turn you into a liberal ... it’s the part where you advocate for a “nanny state” to intervene and help you. THAT is the part that is the problem. You can’t ask the government (AKA “nanny state”) to come in and rescue you, and then in the next breath, tell them to stay out of your family!
Therefore if someone asks the “nanny state” for assistance from the very programs and agencies that we, as conservatives, say shouldn’t even exist in the first place — then that person is promoting and perpetrating that “nanny state” and those LIBERAL VALUES!
