I cant take the cold anymore....That would be me, as well. And with my balance problems, I have a tendency to fall if my footing isn't completely stable and non-skid.
I just got back from Walmart, and from previous experience, the Walmartians are out in force, which is odd, considering it will be cool and windy today.
The good thing is that the steroid med for my lungs has come down $8!!! YAY!!!

I mean...isn’t that appropriate for some shoppers? Walmartians?
In some areas of the valley, one wonders how the shoppers can even count change...

before the blue-hairs get out shopping ..They still do that out there???
Used to be all over the place but I haven't seen a blue hair in quite some time. I thought it had gone out of vogue...
Maybe that's why horriblehairy keeps getting re-elected. It's the nanites in the bluing...

Some folks here are in a time warp, so blue, pink and even orange hair is common on the old ladies. *shudder*
The bluing may well, indeed, be responsible for Harry’s reelection. His brother Larry was arrested for drunk and disorderly recently, but Harry kept it “private.” Who says he’s powerless...? *GAH*

"Some folks here are in a time warp, so blue, pink and even orange hair is common on the old ladies." They're missing out on green and purple, and on changing their eye color too.
Now if I were in charge ...

Trees that refuse to stay put.
Rocks that have an attitude problem.
And don’t even think of looking at the moss, it has..issues.

Hmm. I may add those.
I’ll probably have a full moon every night at midnight. It will help people to think they know what time it is.

Self motile trees would be hilarious.
Especially if someone turns around to find one sitting in the middle of the path.

"You could do that, now, couldnt you?" Oh sure. I'm picturing the extended story about Timmy. Such background amusements would be interesting, but they wouldn't add much to the story, which is already written.
Of course, if I decide to make a sequel ...

Now if I were in charge ...Well, lets ponder this...
Would you be better at it than, say, a certain current _resident in a white hut on Penn Ave in the Distruct of Columbia?
Were you born in this country of citizen parents?
Do you have any problem calling evil evil?
Is it the government's money or is it our money?
Do you think beavers should be able to construct their dams without being subject to governmental regulations?
... ?
We could probably get a NNB PAC up and running...

Back in the late 80’s there was a sci-fi tale of comet wranglers slinging comets into Mars to create craters, water, and a spot for a biodome.
The team on Mars was testing out biotech items, a fast growing grass carpet and a bioengineered dog that didn’t need fancy airtanks and such.
In setting up the dome they found the dog loved the lower pressure atmosphere.
They released the carpet and later found it was too aggressive and had to beat it back from the ramp before retreating.
The story ended with a letter to the board that read in part “I’m afraid your carpet ate your dog.”

It was an interesting read.
Don’t know where I put it, who did it, or the title.
I just recall the punchline at the end.
