The problem for me is equipment. The radio in our mini-van isn’t working and it’s not a fuse. That’s all I have equipment for checking easily. After that I need a bench with the proper wiring to hook up power and speakers to know if it’s the unit itself or the connections to the speakers.
I probably have the money to get someone else to do that, just not the inclination. I’m hoping to sell the mini-van soon and let someone else deal with it.
cute
Kittens are always cute. It’s the highly effective infiltration strategy of the Feline Overlords.
cute babies are a survival mechanism
That is true.
Master, our latest batch is highly effective, but there are still .001% of the humans who are immune to their cuteness. Unfortunately, that amounts to 6 million humans who may resist when it is finally time to take control.
I recommend immediate eradication of the immune population. We will send genetically modified dogs with poisonous saliva to remove them. Unfortunately, some of our supporters like dogs also, but it is a price we must pay to achieve total control of the planet.
And then...BACON!
W00t!
Well, I have returned from work. But once I started up my driveway, I became stuck in a song lyric.
The nearer my destination, the more I was slip-sliding away.
Ohno...got a coal shed anywhere nearby? Gather up as much coal grit and gravel as possible and sprinkle it on your driveway. It will give you traction and will also melt the snow and ice when the sun comes out...
That’s all we used in the town I grew up in...coal dust from the local mines rather than salt from Bonneville.
Well I could have used the snow-blower.
But I decided to be lazy, having already put in the hours I was willing to offer.
See how that works?
I’m sorry for all the snow you have to deal with. We didn’t quite make it to 70 today, and I was thinking about all my FRiends back east who have to deal with so much Globular Worming.
Oh, dear.
Oh I didn’t mind the snow at all. I was slightly inconvenienced by it from time to time.
The real danger from this kind of weather comes from the idiots who use this opportunity to learn a new video game called driving on ice.
Our forecast is for really cold, and we might get a bit of snow on top of the ice. Roads melted off today, at least.
It’s supposed to be 40 tomorrow afternoon, so I should be able to drive to Mass safely.
Tomorrow is my epidural, and I’m hoping by this time next week, I can report an improvement in my overall balance. The dizziness is really bothering me, and since my arms are affected, I’m terribly clumsy. *sigh*
My ride will be here around 0830, and I hope to be home around 1200. If my ride takes me to lunch, I will ask for a place with good salads...
I hope everything goes perfectly smoothly for you! Try to spend a quiet night listening to the purr.
Since I didn’t sleep well last night, I’m thinking I will sleep well tonight. The purrs are automatic in that bed, believe it or not. They only quit when she goes to sleep at the foot of the bed.
At least the appointment isn’t so early that I won’t have time to geek for a bit, or so late that I’ll have another low-blood sugar episode.
My favorite niece called me today. We just talked about how perfect she is with what she does, and how organized her mind is. She is such an all-around talent. It would seem she looks at all problems of whatever nature and thinks, “I will find the solution to this in 15 minutes or less.” The kid is awesome! (KID??? The mother of four!)
Growing up in the Rockies, driving on snow was a class...informally, usually, but it was also learned well.
It all comes back when the opportunity presents itself. Still, I feel bad that you have had to deal with it for so long.
Maybe I’ll get Jake to warm my knees tonight.
Glad you had a nice chat with your niece. One needs to be organized with several children ...
