I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?
After a short routin she’s going to go in someplace warm.
I love ice-skating, but I’ve been hurt too many times by ice out in the wild to bother with it unless my life depends on it.
Frank has gone out, but I expect he’ll be back very soon. He was determined!
Well, I was wrong. Frank is amusing himself knocking icicles off the cars and bushes.
” As the saying goes, Theres no such thing as bad weather: only inappropriate clothing. “
Well, you know they say about old sayings....
I’ll take the 80 degrees : )
Thanks for the mallet!
They actually had three different kinds, but I got the one that had the best balance. They were all within a few cents of each other.
I used the last of my creamer this morning, so when I go to the library to get the tax forms, I will also go to Walmart and get some creamer.
Although we’re expecting 70 plus today, I feel chilled, so I’m glad I won’t be able to get to the library until the temperature is in the high 60’s. Thin blood, I guess.
I was never that good on skates, but what surprised me the most was when I stepped on the ice, I just skated off. No wobbling, no loss of balance. But then I thought a little more on it and realized that my years of roller skating enabled me to ice skate with no problems.
I don’t think I would do well these days, what with the balance problems I have...
:o|
Dang, DC! I should have alerted you!!
I wouldn’t call myself good. And I broke my shoulder this summer rollerblading in Central Park so I shouldn’t get too cocky about my own balance.
I WILL say I’ve had enough of the solid globull warming for one year. Ice is best in the rink.
I think I would like to experience really cold weather for about 30 minutes, and then I’d want the heat back again. It’s what living in the desert does to one. I’m like a lizard on a rock in the heat.
And I’m sorry about the ugly weather you’re having. I hope you’ve managed to stay warm.
This weekend was a little rough. The heater in the car isn’t working so well and I had about 5 hours on the road. Some of that was sitting waiting for a wreck to clear, which was when it started getting chilly.
That and the fact that they poured a LOT of crud on the road to melt the ice and it all got thrown up on my windshield. I had to keep stopping to clean the thing because my windshield washer lines were frozen.
But other than that little bit of excitement, I’m staying warm and letting the professionals deal with the snow and ice.
That brings back memories of winters in the Rockies! I know the feeling of faulty heaters and frozen washer lines...and having the wipers frozen in place. Yah. Been there. Done pretty much close to that...
Hang tough, and for what it’s worth, here’s a warm *HUG*
Pulling up all the cute kitten pictures exhausted them.
Morning! The sun has come out and the ice is melting, although the weather-feed says it’s only 29.
Kathleen says, “You have to get me out of my chair, because my pants are scaring me to death.”
Did you get a memo about the codes’ being changed?
I’m excited to see Kathleen again, now that she is of “speaking” age. In that family, she has to be quick or be left behind!
As soon as I get the bookcase anchored, I will let Sparkle have the run of the house. I have two more people to ask, and I’m sure one of them will be willing, able and knowledgeable enough to do the job.
Then I can get the books in and get the patio cleaned up, and perhaps get one last load off to the thrift store. I think that will make five in the last six months.
Kathleen has all the boys under her thumb.
Your thrift store should give you a prize!
I already got the prize from the thrift store...feeling good, knowing that I have helped quite a few people, both from the employment side and the receiving side. I know what it’s like to need, and I like giving much better!
Off to the library to get the tax forms. What fun.
Now I’m all toasty. :)
:o])
Hoo boy.
IRS is really ticking me off. They aren’t giving out the instruction booklets any more. You have to send for them or get them online. All I needed was the Tax Tables, and the library wanted to charge me .15 cents a copy...I don’t carry cash, so I got them free, since the library doesn’t accept debit cards.
Now, come payday, I absolutely, positively HAVE to get a back-up alarm for the truck, and I hope the one I get is LOUD. Even honking my horn doesn’t work any more. Once at the library and once at Walmart...two places and folks just don’t even bother to look. GAH!!!
