Very few people in the Bible or otherwise get the slap up the side of the head treatment like Doubting Thomas, "Because you have seen me, you have believed".

I've always thought proving Biblical details; the ark, the shroud, etc. may be a worthy pursuit in the interest of science or history. But you're not going to prove God unless you destroy faith in the process.

This film and geocentric-ism is fascinating. In scanning the web probably the most interesting tidbit I found is the question about Polaris. I'm not familiar enough with dark matter, expanding mircowaves, or hot and cold regions of the universe, but I do know the North Star.

I also know it's position relative to my view (and the chimney on my house) doesn't move anywhere close to 20 degrees. If it moves at all from winter to summer, I can't imagine it being more than 2 or 3, maybe 5 degrees absolute tops.

So if the relation between Earth and Polaris, more than 400 light years apart is so stable our seasons has to be the Sun. Changing what? It's orbit around the Earth?

I absolutely agree that the purpose of faith is as "EVIDENCE" of things not seen. But . . . even evidence presumes a scientific method. If evidence is unreliable, the God would not have said that our faith is tangible, that it is the evidence.

I also agree that obviously one cannot "reason" one's way to God, yet there is no ultimate separation from reason and faith because even merely understanding how faith works requires . . . reason. Those who are truly unreasonable will not accept any evidence, whether it's from the Bible or man. Paul outlined many times all the evidence that God had provided about the divinity of Jesus. If that was useless, God wouldn't have provided it nor would Paul have mentioned it. This is to me why Christianity and Islam are so dramatically different: the evidence in the Koran and Hadith is contradictory at every step of the way. If you base your faith in Islam on the Koran, you'd go crazy, because unlike the Bible, the evidence does NOT line up.

BTW, In addressing your second paragraph, to me the EVIDENCE that there was an Adam and Eve, a flood, a second coming is all found in John 1:1, because if Jesus was there "in beginning," He would know if there was an Adam or a flood, and if He is everlasting, He would know about a Second Coming. So I don't get wrapped up in arguments about that with Christians---because we have our evidence, and it is from the most reliable Witness ever to exist!
