To repeat what I’ve said on several occasions before:
Science doesnt do God. Among the base assumptions of science is methodological naturalism. That is, material effects must have material causes. The methods of science simply do not work otherwise. Supernatural causes cannot be falsified, they do not follow natural laws. God cant be limited to following the lakes of nature. Science by design must be agnostic, not atheistic but agnostic. Questions outside the realm of science, in addition to the existence of God, include values, aesthetics and moral judgements.
Ungodly men read the Book of Job and think to themselves, “Naah. God didn’t do all that He said, if He exists.”
A true scientist wishes to discover more of what God has wrought.
“One simple but yet quite convincing argument that is made in the documentary regarding the significance about planet earth, “
Sagen et al convince themselves of the insignificance of Man by pulling back and viewing the ‘stage’ and IT’S setting. It doesn’t seem to occur to these “geniuses” that God Himself doesn’t consider the earth and it’s universe to matter all that much: “Dust to dust, ashes to ashes.”
If I were to paint my fist the same pale blue that Sagen noted and use it to smash his silly face in, asking with each blow “how about THIS pale blue dot, Carl?” He might have a slightly better philosophical understanding of “significance” (at least as far as his childish imagination would allow).
But the better lesson would come later, when the designer of the pale blue dot-earth and it’s vast setting let it all pass away into destruction unlamented by Him. But took the time THEN to avenge the crime committed by one insignificant guy with a pale blue fist against Carl Sagen.
Of course today no one can tell Carl Sagen anything about God...
Very Good and Informative move, Worth Watching for all then some real pondering and investigating on your own.
May God Open the Eyes and Ears of his People!
God Bless!
