If a woman knows where she is in her menstrual cycle and agrees to have unencumbered sex with a man who doesn’t know her, she may be trying to ‘pull a fast one’. Sometimes, what ends up happening is that the woman carries and gives birth just because it’s personally empowering to her. “Wife and Mother” status is not the objective. Not when “Single Mom” status includes sustained long term benefits, empowerment and authority (due to a systemic bias against men), while the father(s) who were said to have gotten THEM pregnant; regardless of what they knew and when they knew it, have very little legal recourse.
