Consolidating, hell no he won't do that.
It will be to FDA, HHS and other agencies what DHS became to FBI, CIA, NSA etc.
An umbrella super agency, with it's own rules, S.W.A.T. teams and a dictatorial attitude, to take complete control of the entire food chain.

I saw this coming. Federal Food Control.

If FDA and others aren't doing their job, then fix that instead.
Preferably by firing the 50% or more who aren't doing theirs.
Do NOT create another agency do what FDA already should be doing.

Thats true on not reducing government bureaucracy.

Make the consolidation contingent upon it. As a test case. If this will make things more efficient make the Administration say how many staff can be reduced by eliminating duplication. If the answer is “none” then the consolidation doesn’t happen.

If the answer is 15% (or an even higher number) then the consolidation gets approved but personnel gets capped at that figure as part of the legislation.
