Both quarterbacks have won four super bowls with their teams. Who's the greatest quarterback of all time? Joe Montana or Tom Brady?

Ask us in two years after Brady and Team can no longer use deflated balls.

Pretty sure their record is not going to be as good by then.

They will just move on to the next cheat, which is how they got to deflated balls after getting caught and fined (that puny fine was not enough to change behavior, huh?) filming defensive signals, unless they were doing both back then.

I didn’t make up the fact that Eddie D had to give up control of the 49ers for attempting to bribe the sitting Governor of Louisiana with 400k in cash for a gaming license.

One would be extremely naive to think he never bribed NFL officials if he tried to bribe a highly elected official.

Where’s there smoke, there is fire.

Simpleton. Luck does not carry you to 6 Super Bowls.

With the Patriots now being the only team in the NFL caught twice cheating, and I believe the ONLY team ever to have a fine levied for it, you may have a point.

The 49ers Defense carried them to their 1st Super Bowl.

How many times did Dallas turn the ball over in that NFC Championship game?

5?

And “The Catch” was intended to go to Freddie Soloman, but he was covered.

Montana was basically throwing the ball away, which Walsh told him to do if his Primary (Soloman) wasn’t open before the play on the sideline. Clark bailed him out with a great catch.

Fact, as I’ve seen it on NFL films but it’s something they don’t show anymore since “The Catch” has become a mythical event and the NFL doesn’t want to diminish it.

Actually, it was Montana and the 49ers that turned the ball over 6 times in that game with 3 INT’s by Montana which still proves my point: The 49ers Defense won that game, not their offense that turned the ball over 6x

Montana also continued to play at a high level after returning from a very serious injury.

I do not know if Brady had had much of anything happen to him. If durability comes into it, there is no question.

In the regular season Montana was a very average quarterback.

But 4-2 means he made it to the big game 6 times. I thought Montana was at the time, but Brady may have past him. Both were ,are, truly great players.

49ers had the 2nd ranked Defense in the NFL in 81

Ronnie Lott, Dwight Hicks, Carlton Williamson, Eric Wright, Jack Reynolds, etc...was the heart and soul of that team.

I agree. Starr is likely the most under rated great QB.

Brady is on a team that cheats.

You will have to be more specific. Try, "Brady is on a team that cheats and got caught."

Joe has a really cool last name.

And a small community in that State re-named their town "Joe".

Tom Brady can't say either of those things...though perhaps some rural post office somewhere can rename itself "Brady" or Bradyville.

It wouldn't matter, nothing beats Joe Montana (other the Dallas Cowboys did, a time or two).

Could either one of them win a game after drinking a pint of whiskey. Ken Stabler could.

4-0 in Super Bowls is pretty impressive. But Brady is currently 4-2 in Super Bowls and the two he lost went down to the wire. He could easily be 6-0 if a play or two in each of those two games went differently.

Funny thing. All the SBs he won were pretty close/down to the wire. (final drive, final drive FG, etc). He could easily be 0-6 if a play or two in all his wins had gone differently.
