Old Man, in his 60’s? Call Chuck Norris an old man and he’ll kick your burro. I know a lot of very active people in their sixties and they don’t call themselves old.

For many, 60s is the new 40s.

It really depends on how you define “old”, but with Iraqi life expectancy of 70 years, just 10 years left would be towards the twilight of one’s lifespan.

In Afhanistan we had a hard time getting workers to wear personal protection equipment (PPE) such as steel toed shoes, welding glasses...etc. I asked them about it, the typical response was why do we care, we only live to be 45 anyway. 60 is extremely old in some parts of the world.

I feel the same way. Just got back from the gym and would love to see the author keep up with me. 3 sets of 10 at 230 on the bench press. 3 sets of ten at 490 on the leg press and three sets each on the other equipment. Then it’s 30 minutes on the bike at level 5. I turn 65 in November.

My Mom’s father informed me at one point when I was screwing something up and not listening that “I wasn’t to big, and he wasn’t to old, to kick my ass” and my two word reply at the time was “Yes Sir”... He was about 74 at the time as I recall. I believe he probably could have carried through on it til he was on the north side of his 90’s.
