It's a Childhood thing and has nothing to with who is the Best as far as Christie, it is subjective to the individual, to hell with critics, so for me it's Rutherford and for you it's Hickson. So smile we can both have our best Miss Marple.

I love Rutherford’s movies as Miss Marple and own them on DVD. I merely meant that of all the Miss Marple roles, Hickson was the only one true to Agatha Christie’s little old lady from a village.
Geraldine was way off because of the liberal influence in some of the shows. I don’t know much about the lady, but I am assuming she was a big lib.
