And any movie with Harry Dean Stanton in it is automatically awesome. :-)
Yep, he was great in Cool Hand Luke. Very talented.
He was also excellent in "One Magic Christmas," one of my favorite Christmas movies.

Agreed! Strother Martin was excellent. Loved him in The Wild Bunch, and also in a Charles Bronson flick called Hard Times.

I remember as a young child taking one of those station wagon vacations with my family driving from Connecticut to Florida.
The thing I really remember where the shacks that served as home that we passed, and going by a chain gang doing road work.
Like in the movie.
