Henpecked traveling salesman David Mann (Dennis Weaver) wants only to get to his next sales meeting in time to save an account. Agreed! Strother Martin was excellent. Loved him in The Wild Bunch, and also in a Charles Bronson flick called Hard Times.
Chain gangs were interesting to see, back in the 50s.
I remember as a young child taking one of those station wagon vacations with my family driving from Connecticut to Florida.
The thing I really remember where the shacks that served as home that we passed, and going by a chain gang doing road work.
Like in the movie.
