Yes, about the most brutal thing I’ve ever seen.
But for me the image of the little girl still holding the flower after the gassing is what got to me the most. I’ll never forget that.

Yeah, that hit me in the gut too. But that scene inside the gas chamber with John Gielgud was truly horrifying. When the door was slammed shut and the doomed throw themselves against it you know the horror is beginning. I don't know how those actors did it but God Almighty they did a tremendous job. In reality though why didn't they resist? In those last few moments those people must have known what was going to happen. Why didn't they go down fighting?
