“..a candidate was required to show proof of an act of cruelty committed against the German people. so it’s not exactly fair to equate Germans with Nazism.”
You’re right, there must have been many Germans themselves who did not go along with Hitler and his army and were punished severely for it :( Haven’t heard about the acts of cruelty requirement. Never studied the Holocaust in depth, I must admit. Learned something new.

If you have the stomach for it I recommend ''the gas chamber scene'' from the miniseries “War And Remembrance’’. Google ‘’Gas Chamber Scene/Arron Jastrow’’(Sir John Geilgud played ‘’Dr. Jastrow). It's unforgettable and horrifying.

Thanks for the link Pelham. Harrowing stories. I really suggest you watch ‘’the gas chamber’’ scene , the scene with the actor John Gielgud as ‘’Dr. Jastrow’’ from ‘’War And Remembrance’’ It will really drive home the horror of the Holocaust.

Yes, about the most brutal thing I’ve ever seen.
But for me the image of the little girl still holding the flower after the gassing is what got to me the most. I’ll never forget that.

Yeah, that hit me in the gut too. But that scene inside the gas chamber with John Gielgud was truly horrifying. When the door was slammed shut and the doomed throw themselves against it you know the horror is beginning. I don't know how those actors did it but God Almighty they did a tremendous job. In reality though why didn't they resist? In those last few moments those people must have known what was going to happen. Why didn't they go down fighting?
