Same way you get rid of a patch of Canada thistles in your grain field - pluck off all the seed heads before they come to bloom, and after harvest, go back to the patch and dig out all the spread of roots (and they can stretch for forty or fifty feet), then treat the soil to prevent future emerging growth.
Ruthlessly beat the growth back every year, because it WILL return.
