Looks like Cleveland wasted a 1st round pick on Johnny Football. Everything people warned about came true.

First round hype, sixth round talent, zero commitment or dependability.

Manziel gave his "money" sign as he walked onstage to greet Roger Goodell It was worth the fifteen yard penalty for taunting when one of the Bengals gave the money sign over Manziel after sacking him.

“zero commitment or dependability”
That’s the main problem.

The guy has talent and leadership skills...
Hopefully for the Browns organization and their fans, he can get his stuff together in season two or he will find his butt on the outs...

Winston is a time bomb ready to go off even though he ran a NFL style offense in College...
They need to sit Marcus Mariota butt on the bench for at least next season to acclimate him to a pro style offense...and earn the respect of his teammates and fans

Kinda liked JF when he was at ATM but in the NFL his dumb off field ash antics don’t cut it. Plus his body type and QB style is not in his favor. Oh well— we shall see what happens this year.

The NFL embodies pure, unadulterated evil. It poses even a greater threat than ISIS and should be abolished off the face of the earth.
Cases in point:
- Several years ago, a certain football club in the New England area had "cameras" filming the practice session of an opposing team.
- A certain football club in Cleveland drafted a scrawny good-for-nothing punk with a bad attitude to be its "franchise" quarterback.
- A certain member of a certain football club "shoved and pushed "his wife by an elevator at a hotel.
- A certain ballclub from the state of Texas had a slightly overweight governor from the state of New Jersey up in the owner's booth during a recent football game, engaging in fist-pumping, "high-fiving" and other conduct unbecoming of a governor of a large and populous state.
- A certain member of another certain football club in New England is on trial for murdering as many as "several" people.
- That same certain New England football club is now accused of deflating "footballs" below the league-approved 12.5 ounces per square inch.
I can go on and on but I think I have sickened enough stomachs here.
It's time to disband the NFL and raze all the stadiums to the ground.

Is there anyone who follows college and pro football who didn’t see this coming?
To: Popman
They won’t. The NFL playing style (big, old men running right at each other, the same plays over and over) isn’t conducive to Manziel’s dynamic style. Steve Young wouldn’t make it in today’s NFL.

Marrioto is smarter than Manziel, so that might help him, but I doubt he’ll succeed in the NFL either. Not because of him, but because of the NFL.

A certain line backer was accessory to murder (may have been the murderer) and tried to cover it up. That line backer had a long, celebrated career and is now a prominent analyst.
It won’t be long before more people realize that the NFL is not only evil, but is incredibly boring.

I don’t like Manziel, but he’s an amazing QB. I did see this coming because dynamic QBs can’t succeed in a banal league.

I dont like Manziel, but hes an amazing QB. The history of the NFL is littered with the bodies of quarterbacks who tore up the college ranks and were complete busts at the pro level. And in almost all of those cases the reason for the failure was a lack of self-discipline. The NFL is a whole different world. It takes discipline and drive and the desire to continuously adjust to your opponent. There is no doubt Manziel has the raw talent at quarterback. But does he have the ability to work at his position and spend the hours preparing for the next game and learning from the mistakes of the past? In his case I highly doubt it.

Deflated footballs are a greater threat than ISIS?
