Not criticizing you. It’s kind of typical of tech sites, that the writer is more interested in showing off his/her special knowledge than in communicating with the newbies — who, if they knew the exquistie details he or she was talking about, wouldn’t need to be there.

I gotcha, and I agree. I spend a good part of my day on google looking for ways to do what I need to do and yeah, there are some really obnoxious people out there. Lots of bad info, too. But it's amazing how useful it can be if you keep hunting...I basically owe my career to it.

My pet peeve is this answer: "What do you want to do that for? Do this instead..."
