Okay, they didn't need to cheat. So, why did they?
The way I see it is because we have multiple occurrences of cheating by this organization, it is a lack of institutional control by the coach and organization. Look at Sean Payton. There was no evidence of him being involved in the Saints one scandal and he was suspended for a whole season. The coach and organization need to make it clear that flirting with the rules resulting in a violation will be grounds for a benching or dismissal.
I’m beginning to think it’s all hype for Superbowl TV viewers. Like that North Korean movie The Interview.
I just embrace the hate. The only explanation for the winningest team in the NFL for the last 15 years HAS to be that they cheat. Not that these other loser franchises just stink and barely get to .500 every season... It’s because the Patriots cheat. Embrace the HATE! Every QB in the league does something to the balls to get them the way they want them. Eli, Rodgers, Donovan McNabb, even that loser from Tampa Bay. This is nothing but jealousy of the Pats and nothing more.
Turns out that the Patriots were using Flubber on their uniforms to prevent the Colts from tackling them as well.
It would make more sense to fine the organization and take away draft picks which the NFL will probably do. The NFL will NEVER suspend one of its biggest stars for something this minor.

What has that to do with his faith? His appearance in a PSA is nothing more than urging folks to get health insurance. I am sure he and Sherman were paid for their time but neither endorsed any policy.
Nothing in the ad, or regarding his rationale for being in the ad has any bearing on his faith in Christ.

I like Russell Wilson, despite the ads, because he visits the Children’s Hospital.
Right now, there are 49’er fans everywhere who are wishing that someone in the 49’er organization had enough presence of mind to deflate game balls to the degree that a receiver could actually catch one of those passes he throws with zero touch....
