Friends of a Temple University freshman who fell eight stories to her death said a Facebook post just before her tragic fall hints that it may have been suicide.
Rebecca Kim, 18, was visiting two friends at a Rittenhouse Square apartment in Philadelphia when she leaned out the window to take pictures and tumbled to her death around 6 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Kim allegedly posted to her Facebook page just before her fatal fall: "It was intentional."
"It was shock, a lot of shock. I really didn't know how to react to it at first," classmate and friend Rachelle Newman told NBC Philadelphia. "I was sitting there frozen. I was like 'whoa.'"

I love the self deluded gatekeepers of Christianity.
I abhor the ignorant fools who make fun of the death of one's 18 year old daughter.........
lets have a big hearty laugh and come up with as many jokes as we can over this hilarious death of Rebecca KimI am totally disgusted by a drama queen looking to inflate his ego.
Wow. Is it possible they feared retribution when they went home?
“As an American born white man, I was flabbergasted that a student would be ashamed to bring home an A instead of an A+.
Oh, there’s plenty of white Americans who are like that too.
I always said: 85 is good, you should be able to get that with a little effort.
Get enough Democrat hate memes in there over trivialities which don't even come close to supporting the severity of your accusations? After all, opportunities to spread hate in the name of compassion don't arise every day - gotta make the most of it.
I’m not clear about what I said that makes fun of her.
And yet you laugh at the death of an 18 year old girl.........
Nice tangent, but lets stick with laughing at the death of an 18 year old girl......It's funnier
According to Google Maps, "Rittenhouse Square" is defined as a more-or-less square area bounded on the north by Chestnut Street, on the south by South Street, on the west by 21st Street, and on the east by Broad Street.
That's a heck of a lot bigger than I remember it.
I thought "Rittenhouse Square" was the square park surrounded by some of Philly's most expensive places to live.
It's where Eddie Murphy experiences his "miracle" when picked up bodily by two Philly cops in the movie Trading Places.
Here are very recent prayer threads calling on Christians. Don't see your posts in either of them. Good you post here though.
Good point, thanks !
To you, apparently, because you insist on hijacking the thread towards it.
But not to anyone else.
This perception is fairly close to right on. I am not of Asian origin myself but I have a close connection to the community and I also have spent quite a lot of time in Asia doing training programs. What I find is that they absolutely bust their gut with a singular focus on high marks
and contrary to what many will tell you, there is something wrong with that. What is missing from this approach is the human factor, the ability to collaborate on projects and the thing that I was told before going to university and college Remember, only 40% pf what you need to learn there will be in the classroom and out of text books. What classroom and texts dont teach you is how to be a leader and even more basic, how to get along with others. One of the things that Ive found over and over is that while there is such an emphasis in getting high marks, there is almost no understanding of things such as how to properly take risks and how to establish the correct answer with nothing more than a gut feel.
Wow still don’t see you posting there, and I gave you the links!
Do you find that Trolls often have a trollish name, Hot Tabasco?
yes f**K google rittenhouse square is one of the four squares laid out by Penn i believe. and it it is ritzy maybe the most ritzy in philly. washington square is pretty high up there as well. and oh yes the Trading places which was filmed all around philly. A friend of mine was living in a basement apartment on the street where the mansion was while they were shooting the film. I think it was delancey which has some very nice big houses. i love that movie. great that it shot in Philly for all of the scenes. i lived at 23 and spruce for a year. The Duke and Duke building was the Fidelity bank were an old flame worked and the Curtis institute frontage i think was used for the club. Also more recent the roof of my house is in the movie shooter. after the chopper buzzes the gold domed church the very silver roof four houses in from the little street in the shot is mine. I had just painted the roof a month earlier.
Uuuuuhhhh, ever take a Mathematical Economics graduate course taught by a professor from Tiawan (sp)?
It's a common human reaction. I won't participate -- I've grown past this need -- but please don't judge too harshly. It's even got a name: Graveside Humor. That's how common it is.
People get a lot of pent up internal stress when they read something so f-ed up. Instead of crying, they release by joking. I've even done it myself.
So please understand. They are human, and this is how they are dealing with the horror of the story.
