Post #6 has their excuses for that. "Tech guy did it on his own" seems to be their story. Unh hunh. He did that without asking anyone there what they thought of the idea? Like no one else there has an attitude? lol

"Tech guy did it on his own" seems to be their story. I think this is the most believable element of the dealership's side of the story (it doesn't really matter who posted the video, except in the "yes, we're evil, but we're not complete idiots" sort of way). The "tech guy" is the guy who yells at the end of the video, "we have you on video and audio." So, it seems reasonable to assume that he really likes his hi-tech surveillance system and wants to show it off.
We just got a very similar system at work a few months ago. It's an impressive setup for such a low cost (five wireless color cameras with audio, mounting hardware, and the necessary software for just over $300), and I wouldn't know how to upload video from it to the internet either.
I really love this story as a vindication of Adam Smith. The free market will take care of these jerks quite well: No need for gubmint intervention.
