A student at the University of Central Oklahoma was arrested in a prostitution sting at his Edmond apartment.
Investigators with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control and Oklahoma City police arrested Ali Hussain Al Yousuf, 24, on complaints of maintaining a house where prostitution takes place and aiding in prostitution.
Al Yousuf was enrolled in classes at UCO this semester, a UCO spokeswoman said Thursday.
University of Central Oklahoma student is arrested in prostitution sting
On Jan. 8, an OBN agent working undercover responded to an online escort ad and arranged to meet with a woman in an apartment at 157 Stonebridge Blvd. in Edmond.
According to court documents, the agent met with the woman inside the apartment, and the woman agreed to have sex with the agent for $150.
Oklahoma City police officers then came into the apartment and detained the woman for questioning, OBN spokesman Mark Woodward said.
Officers found Al Yousef hiding inside a closet in the apartment and arrested him, court documents show.
The woman, whom authorities did not identify, was later released. Woodward said he expects the woman to be charged with prostitution soon.
There is no evidence of human trafficking, Woodward said. She was a willing participant in this.
Al Yousuf was booked into Oklahoma County jail on Jan. 8 and released the next day on $2,000 bond.

Hey. Ali:
Mind if we just call you “Ahab” for short?
What rally is that?
Would they mind if I wore my “Je Suis...” T-shirt?
Business major, right?
Or, maybe women’s studies...
Barney Fwank should have been his room mate.
A fine example of Muslim “modesty”.
The ‘Stand with the Prophet Rally’ hosted by the Garland Independent School District on Saturday. Islamic militants are coming in from all over the country to trade advice and inspire the local jihadists.
