Not true, there is video of a cat putting itself in harm’s way to save a kid from a dog attack and I know of one feral kitty who appointed herself guardian over an injured cat, keeping it fed, warm, and guarded from harm.

I saw that! That cat kicked the dog’s butt, big time. No human could have chased him off so effectively.
