I missed Anne of Green Gables, though I’ve heard very good things about it.

Well, it’s a series of books that begins with the story of orphan Anne’s arrival at the farm on Prince Edward Island. That is also what the two movies cover. There’s a third movie which is about an older Anne but it’s doo doo and not from the books. As the books continue, they become more of a “woman’s” story dealing with her life as a wife and mother. The stories of her children take over and the last book tells of her youngest daughter as a late teen.
It’s been awhile since I read them but I finished the last book in a Denny’s and was sobbing so much, the server asked me if I was okay! I was waiting for uHaul to put a hitch on and cried all the way back to the shop! The guys there thought I was nuts....
