Slander-
Law.com. n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another, which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed. Slander is a civil wrong (tort) and can be the basis for a lawsuit.

Given the subject no SLANDER is needed to show poor character.

Calling Mohammed “a prophet” is, in itself, telling. No Christian believes this.

Obama also called the Koran “revealed” - something no Christian believes.

Take a look (these are GROSSLY offensive) at what FAMILY GUY said about Jesus over the years:

Do a search for FAMILY GUY Mohammed and you see... nothing.

Have you seen any marches, burned buildings, protests, murders over FAMILY GUY?

Jesus Christ never slandered. He spoke truth, and those who bore the brunt of His truth felt slandered. By the same token, we do not need to slander the “Prophet” of Islam; we only need to speak the truth of the Gospel and point out the lies of Islam. Those who follow the “Prophet” will feel slandered, but that is their problem; it either leads them to repentance or to damnation, and to which it leads becomes each Muslim’s choice.

I like that quote better than what our President suddenly blurted out some years ago. Once in a great while, Obama allows his true feelings to spurt forth unguarded, and finds himself once again, ‘acting stupidly”.

close. very close ... but not quite.
slander involves a measure of falsity

but with the Islamic “prophet”... he was a mass-murderer, he did have sex with little girls, he was most of the things ... according to their own record

its still not quite precise, but we could say that
their prophet “slanders himself”

It's not necessary to slander it, only tell the Truth.

St. John of Damascus wrote of this is 749 AD and Hillaire Belloc did so 100 years ago.

Mohammed was just a grifter looking to put together a useful cult to support him in his power acquisition schemes.

Perhaps a modern way of putting it, but accurate.

If the correct phrasing is ‘Prophet Mohammad’ then wouldn’t ‘The Savior Jesus Christ’ be correct ?

Not slandering anyone. Slander is a sin. Christ did not sin.
Christ pointed the only way to heaven, thru Him and him alone. There is nothing slanderous about that at all.

Obama’s statement on Muhammed designates him as a false prophet.

While I appreciate the underlying sentiment, I agree with several other posters: It is not slander.
On January 7th, I posted the following on Twitter:

“The future must belong to those who tell the truth about the supposed prophet Mohammed!”

When I think of any comparison between Jesus and Mohammed - as though all so-called religions are either equally valid or equally invalid - I am angered. Jesus succored the weak and protected the young; Mohammed slaughtered the weak and exploited the young. Two men could not be more different (even if one ignores the Christian belief that Jesus is more than man).
