It was funny...we thought HS kiddo would have 2hr delay...(no such luck) but NONE of our phones “initialized” to get to Internet (local TV stations webpages).
We had to go retro and turn on TV!!!

Hi neighbor (waves!). As crow flies, we are pretty close to HHS (and PT too...our HS is furthest from our house).
Norwin doesn’t provide that service as of yet (we do get robo calls if student is absent though). I couldnt get internet on Verizon phones or COMCASTIC laptop for about 40 minutes this am. Nothing worked. We went “old school” and watched the crawl on TV screen.

Yesterday’s news was heartbreaking and fury inducing—now 12 have died, many being treated for their wounds still. One perp (the 18yo?) in custody. And ANOTHER Paris police officer (unarmed?!?) shot and killed (along w/a street dept employee) during a routine traffic stop. AND THE IMAGE OF THE PARIS OFFICER SHOT AT POINT BLANK RANGE IS VIRAL ON WEB!
Tens of thousands PEACEFULLY marched, but the peacefulness will pass, from what I read last night on Twitter France is a powder keg.

Morning! I FORGOT to post the thread this morning! I got sidetracked with other stuff! Actually, somebody on another thread found a way to stream Fox News without going through the cable provider, so I had that on and was listening/watching as I got ready for work. Most schools in Indiana County are on a two hour delay. Nephews in Armstrong school Dist get to stay home today - lucky!! :-)
Yep, France is a powder keg. I hope they go postal on the mooslimes there! The mooses need to get a BIG taste of their own medicine! I won’t watch the shooting of that poor policeman.

How are you enjoying your time off? At least you don’t have to worry about a vehicle starting in the cold to get to and from work.
The MUSLIM attack in France is disgusting but not surprising. Maybe it will be a wake up call but I doubt it.
If I can I’ll check in on the thread in the morning. Of course with the bus service, the cold and our Comcastic >no< service it might be impossible.
Mrs p6 and I are seriously considering dumping Comcast at least the TV part. We can get Verizon in our building but it’s SLOW DSL service. Then again it is $30/month compared to 3x that for Comcast. So far we have found that the free over the air TV is fine for us so it’s just a matter of what we want to do about internet service.
OH, oh, oh! Did I post that the PA Farm show starts this seek? Live on PCN starting Saturday and there are live and recorded feeds on the PCN website. Sheep to shawl, square dancing, FOOD and of course the live webcams on the chicks hatching.

Thanks for asking about my adjustment to unemployment...I am discovering what a procrastinator and general “waster of timer” I am!
Was very well versed on the (important!) happenings in France (but we were surrounded by the CHRISTMAS stuff storage boxes because...I get distracted). I think have adult ADD...but eventually i rally!
On the plus, side...signing up for unemployment and receiving initial PA Debit card went smoothly (yea! groceries!). I’ll adjust eventually!
Can’t get online at home...again...SLOW Comcast. They are talking about rewiring our building but I’m not holding my breath.
BO will not go to France to show support for the victims of the Hebdo incident. OF COURSE NOT...He stands with the muzzies! Or as CNN ID’s the perps - AFRICAN-AMERICANS!
The PA Farm show is underway but I’m busy at work and can’t pay attention. From what I’ve seen of the fashion show - something I usually like - it has been disappointing! Have to get Mrs p6 and daughter to enter next year. Heck it’s been so bad this year I could make something and win a ribbon!
It’s all Harrisburg and east...WPA is Cowboys and Indians to them. ALL very RINO elite types.
Did you watch Weatherbell this weekend? When he was at Penn State Joe named a winter storm after Fred Honsberger! Naming winter storms is nothing new to him.
Sadly he’s not very optimistic about an early spring...sigh!
