Love that pic.
I can imagine the boy becoming a engineer and developing the transistor, or becoming an astronaut.
Now, replace the comic with an Xbox, and guess the result...good or not?
Hi Gina, it’s a strong lineup.
How are you?
Vision, I’m glad. :-) Glad to see you this evening.
We’re bracing for a cold week, but probably not as cold as where you are. I hate the frozen weather!
All’s fine here, just the usual Sunday stuff. How about you? Any good Food Wishes? Keith was looking at Chef John’s site for different ways to prepare chicken, since it’s just about the only meat we can afford. :-/ Chef has some good recipes!
I guess I'm more concerned that the boy is stimulating his mind, using his imagination, and having quality time with his Father. He's developing his soul and mind.
Xbox seems to be assaulting the senses and destroying souls. But maybe the next generation of soldiers will come from it.
God is in charge.
Glad you're listening.
Life's good. Back to work tomorrow and it's time for that.
I did Food Wishes pork shoulder with blueberry sauce- really good. Never cooked a shoulder only to 145 before.
Chicken? You can do so much with chicken. Besides chicken recipes, I'd do his peurvian turkey recipe on chicken and the pork El Diablo should also translate well.
That’s right. We can take the turkey and other recipes to chicken. Good point and suggestions!
I’m glad it’s all smooth there, except the crummy weather, of course.
The Korean fried chicken looks good
It does,
Pretty evil guy in JD. Reminds me of the film Notorious.
People are too polite and well mannered there for Dillon...
Yeah, he was bad, and so was the creep in Dragnet.
The Lux show is about Bataan. Anytime I hear Bataan,I think about Bert Bank. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bert_Bank. I knew of him growing up listening to Alabama football on the radio. He lived things we can only imagine in our nightmares. He never sounded bitter about it.
I have news for Ed. Anyone listening to this program will NOT be “offended” by people imitating other ethic accents. That’s the way it was done back then, and there was nothing wrong with it! Bunch of pantywaists!
What an amazing man! We get all riled up about little crap in our lives, and this man went through true hell on earth and managed to be grateful, not bitter AND hugely successful, living to an old age. I could take a lesson from him.
I found the book. https://archive.org/details/BackFromTheLivingDead_933
Wow what a guy.
Didn’t see that about Lux. Heavy stuff.
