I agree with you. On Twitter, former police officers were saying that if you don’t want to be so ‘in their face’ and are worried about being singled out for turning your back, just look down at the ground.

I can see though, that the comments by Bratton about not turning their backs had an effect. At the first funeral it was every officer I saw. Here it appears to be very mixed.
