The flight recorders should be pinging, it shouldn’t be that difficult in 150’ of water. If this happened in US waters the recovery would be underway by now.

Indeed.
In the article it states that no pinging has been detected as of yet. Which is odd.
It just crossed my mind (ouch, look out.) that perhaps they have found MH370...the pinging would have stopped on that by now.
