Was there not some Ford cars that hid the damn thing under the license plate? Dimly recall, but then, most recollections are dim these days....
GM had certain models that had that feature but do not recall Ford doing it although they may indeed have. Ford for a while had the horn sound by pushing in one of the stalks on the steering column. That feature confused an awful lot of people and it was summarily dropped into the bad idea bin.
