'Liam Neeson says hes received many letters from Americans too scared to travel to Europe after watching the Taken films.
The 62-year-old actor stars as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills in the action franchise and admits fans have written to him saying theyre frightened of travelling abroad due to the storylines in which his wife and daughter are kidnapped.
Speaking on the Graham Norton Show, while promoting 'Taken 3', he said: Just the other day I got a letter from a school teacher in Texas who had tried to take 60 students to Europe and the families of 40 of them got the kids out of it because they had seen Taken 2.
And then this year she wanted to take 20 of them and the parents all said, No, because weve seen that movie!.'

Liam Neeson wants to be a Muslim.
“There is more danger of being shot by a cop on a routine traffic stop at home than being hurt by a rag-head in Europe.”
Bull! I’m sure you back up that statement with facts.
.
Though I would agree with you...it does depend on where you are in Europe...
Sharia compliant zones probably not..especially if you are a infidel women...
Everywhere else...just your average...
Comments from the Brits are interesting.
Surely you can't be serious!
Well, our family seems to have an affinity for those type of events.
My friend’s uncle was on the Lockerbie flight. A friend of my husband’s was in the twin towers. He was hero, though, he didn’t die. He rescued a group of people by leading them to safety in the floors below the towers. He had a heart condition and died a few years later from the lung damage.
Then a the childhood neighbor of my husband was killed on that TWA flight that was headed to Paris.
Very droll, but I doubt he appreciates being called Shirley.
Nobody is this dumb, not even in America. Anybody who believes it is pretty dumb, though. Sounds like Neeson thinks everybody has seen these movies and thinks they’re real. I’d say Neeson is the dumb one.
Sounds like Liam Neeson is a bit taken by his opinions.
I asked a cab driver about it and he said there was a terrorist alert. Okay, well I'll continue to travel by cab and not by bus or the Underground then, I said. He liked that idea. I wondered if they've ever lifted the armed police presence since the time between my last two visits.
For the supposed 'unarmed police' that London is noted for, I have to say the majority of the police officers I saw there were pretty gunned up.
London police are by far the most ‘tooled up’ of our police. As you said, terrorism, from the IRA days to Muslims now.
B: Who the hell would tell him that they are worried about traveling to anywhere based on a movie he participated in ?
C: Why am I even responding to this post ?
D: New Years day drinking ?
E: All of the above.
Happy New Years Freepers !!!
LOL, I just have a wish to travel, I don’t get why anyone (and there are plenty of Brits as well) who don’t wish to. I cant grasp why people don’t want to experience different parts of the great world we live in.
Sad.
I just spent a couple of weeks traveling around Italy and my only regret is that I didn’t have a month. Incredible.
I never felt threatened or in danger. I do sometimes feel in danger at night in the NYC metro area that I live in. Italy felt more safe to me.
I could be wrong. Just saying how I felt.
No, he dosent. Nor is he one, this all stems from a story where he said he likes the sound of morning prayer call. But then he also like the bagpipes and Beethoven.
If they are ignorant, ignore. Trolls.
Liam.. Your anti second amendment stance nullifies your opinions.. Shut up.
