Former New York Times Middle East bureau chief Chris Hedges said he was disinvited to speak at a University of Pennsylvania conference following a column comparing Israel to ISIS.
Hedges, now a columnist for the Truthdig.com website, was to speak at an April forum on prospects for peace in the Middle East sponsored by the universitys International Affairs Association.
Zachary Michael Belnavis, a student leader of the association, wrote to the lecture agency that his group didnt see Hedges as a suitable fit for the conference.

That’s the first time I hear of a radical leftist being dis-invited to a University for being too much of a hater. Kudos to the U of Pennsylvania, for a change!
Nope, it’s just more of the same fail. Universities should be places of thoughtful discussion and debate. Make a liberal back up their beliefs with facts, logic and experience. They can’t.
The best way to defeat them is to expose the vacuity of their ideas.
Any time someone like Hedges is not allowed to preach hate to the choir is technically not a “fail”. Expecting liberals to engage in “thoughtful discussion and debate” is like expecting to see the other side of the moon from Earth.
