I hope the same thing. But how will they keep it from the kid? Someday he/she will ask where his/her mother is. They’ll have to come up with some phony story, and every relative and family friend will have to stick to it.
Boy, what a mess.
There’s no way the child won’t know. He’ll be reminded by the other traumatized kids. Most likely they won’t be diplomatic about it either. They’ll probably be taking a lot of hurt and anger out on him. :(
