I suppose that is correct since a lot of us refuse to get sucked into that “hole” social media BS in the first place. Somebody’s making some money off it.

Not only money - they've been refining it as a tool for Socialism.
The UK riots three years ago were a perfect field experiment for them, as were the Occutards the next year.
