When I was a kid I read various hunting and shooting magazines. They would call a hunter a nimrod after Nimrod the hunter, biblical king who was a hunter and the builder of the Tower of Babel.
It was not necessarily a negative connotation....just a hunter.
I believe it was gun writer and curmudgeon Colonel Charles Askin, who would apply certain perfectly cromulent (Google it) words and give those words a sarcastic, negative bent. I remember his use of the words ‘some yahoo ‘ as the first time I heard yahoo used in that way. He also a few times make fun of an humorously unproductive or perhaps clumsy hunter by saying “....so this nimrod, went and...” Whatever he did as a sarcastic to paint the picture of someone who was NOT a good hunter (as Nimrod the Great has been a great hunter).
This somehow translated in recent decades as someone who was just a moron.
I reject this use of the word NIMROD.....as a hunter and a purveyor of correct usage
And he will earnestly promise to get to the bottom of it.
Do some study of Obama and Nimrod and you’ll find a number of parallels.
That I buy. Though the difference being he expects others to build a tower to HIM as he would be god in his own mind.
Subliminally speaking, - - when he threatens to kill ‘innocent’ white kids, - - it’s a self-admission that the recent killings in question (by some) were of ‘guilty’ blacks . . .
Evidently, criminal threats do not constitute Constitutionally protected free speech.

Another community organizer thwarted from his usual er - organizing.
I think threatening to kill police falls under terrorist threats.
You may have heard the expression yahoo from the Colonel, but it goes back to 1726, Gulliver’s Travels.

I only watched the Max Fleisher Gulliver. I do remember reading something along those lines though
Well, it’s no wonder the poor thing feels homicidal. Do you see those small gastropods — they appear to be cowries — that are attacking his ears? Probably quite painful not to mention nerve-wracking.
Thank for clearing that up. I was not looking forward to a link to those pics!
“didn’t mean it” defense.
