I play a ES-125T 1962 model with a P-90 pickup and get the sound. Kalamazoo Gibson luthiers made the lower end models with the same expertise and care as they did with the higher end Gibsons.

I have an assortment of very desirable les pauls and fender strats and rare guitars, but use my 1969 ES-335 with bigsby to emulate his Gibson L5 or Super 400 or 295.

My finger picking is not so good,
