Prime Minister Stephen Harper delivered his annual Christmas message to Canadians in a YouTube message on Dec. 24.
Sitting in front of a fully decorated Christmas tree and roaring fire, Harper touts Canada's strong economy, and that the country is known around the world "for doing what is good and right and for protecting the vulnerable, promoting peace and defending the freedom of all people."
He asks all Canadians to take a break from the Christmas festivities to say a prayer for the country's men and women in uniform serving "in harm's way," especially those fighting the Islamic State.
