While reading some of my Twitter email yesterday I saw a story on how the FBI used 'torture' against anti civil rights people back in the sixties. That got me thinking on the hypotheticals the talking heads keep yapping about. You know - what if you have a terrorist that knows where a nuke is going to explode in D.C. or NYC, what would you do to get the information from said terrorist. Than I thought of something else that I will use against a Progressive if they bring this subject up in conversation.
Hypothetical - someone kidnaps the family of a high ranking U.S. political leader. The FBI has in custody someone who knows where they are held. They have 24 hours before the family members are killed. What do the progressives want to do then? Will it depend on political affiliation of the political leader? Will it depend on who the kidnappers are? Are they Muslims? Are they neo Nazis? Socialists? Puerto Rican terrorists? Will the progressives throw out the window the "we're Americans, we're better than that, we don't do that" BS?
What say you?
Its a trick question, Politician family, I simply don’t care. Now the nice lady down at the gas station, we can talk. Yes, seriously.
It is not a question to be asked of you or any other Freeper. It is a question to ask those who think the techniques used against the terrorists qualified as torture. How would their progressive mind process the information before it exploded.
Failure to define terms.
Harsh treatment runs from being impolite to hot irons and all that. At some point it crosses a line into torture.
Anyone who argues about “torture” without bothering to state where on the spectrum they place that line should not be taken seriously. They are not trying to argue for a better policy, they are simply grandstanding moralistically.
BTW, since they portray this ias a moral issue, where are all the people who claim “we can’t legislate morality?”
