Until we have some actual progress involving an NFL team moving to Los Angeles, maybe it's best to stop the breathless speculation about which teams will move there.

There won't be a team moving to Los Angeles in 2015. ESPN.com's Adam Schefter said commissioner Roger Goodell told the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Rams – the three hottest candidates to move to L.A. if that ever happened – that there will be no team in Los Angeles next season.

I lived in LA for a short time and loved not having a NFL team there. Albeit this is coming from a East Coast transplant. Double headers every weekend with almost always the best national matchups being shown. From what I understand the NFL has not suffered any drop in TV ratings in LA from the time when both the Rams/Raiders left. The NFL luvs having no team in LA because it gives them massive leverage over spineless public officials when a team claims they need a new stadium. When Minnesota wanted a new stadium all the rumors starting coming out the team would move to LA until MN politicians caved in. Notice all the teams listed as possible movers need new stadiums.

Notice all the teams listed as possible movers need new stadiums.
Over the last few years, Buffalo Bills have spent almost $400 million in taxpayer money to refurbish their stadium.
Their owner passed away this year and the new owner is saying he won't move the team -BUT- might consider building a new stadium.
In other words, he's sewing the seeds for the "gimee" lots of Other Peoples' Money or else ...

We don't want a team in L.A. We get no blackouts, the best games on TV every week and no Sunday stadium traffic.

NFL - let us enjoy what we have. We don't need a losing franchise here.

Taxpayer funded stadiums for owners that pay no taxes?

Sounds great - where do I sign up?

The NFL can ‘keep going till thy get to the river, and then drop in’.

It doesn’t seem likely. He’s pretty heavily invested in the region, with one of those investments being the Buffalo Sabres hockey team, so pulling the plug on the Bills would likely create a major backlash against his other assets.
