I used to buy Jif exclusively. Then I became concerned about hydrogenated oil. Went au naturele. Constantly keeping the runny oil mixed in was a pain.
Then I discovered Skippy “Natural” Creamy and Super Chunk. 100% non-hydrogenated, but no loose oil; no mixing required. I was skeptical as to how they pulled that off. Ingredients listed Palm Oil. Ah so? That explains it. Palm oil and coconut oil are solids at room temp, and are as good or better for you than peanut oil. Now I keep a jar of each handy. Thinking about getting a double holster belt made that will hold Skippy jars so I can pack PB at all times. And I’ll carry my piece concealed.
I did the same thing. Used to get Smuckers to avoid the hydrogenated oil but boy what a workout to get it well stirred. The no stir with palm oil is the best of both worlds.
