The United States has returned four Afghans from Guantanamo Bay back to their home country.
U.S. officials say the transfer from the detention center is a sign of their confidence in new Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
Administration officials say they worked quickly to fulfil his request to return the four detainees. They had been cleared for transfer as a kind of reconciliation and an indication of improved U.S.-Afghan relations.

Abu Bakr al Baghdadi had been held by the US until his release from Gitmo, he is now the leader of ISIS.
Latif Mehsud was second-in-command of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan group responsible for the recent Pakistani school massacre. He had been held by the US for a year and was released to Pakistan December 7, 2014 ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-30368500 ), the massacre was a few days later.

Probably why this information came out now while congress is on hols. By the time they get back all will be forgotten.
That's been my prediction, as well.
