My husband was transferred to Williston ND once before he retired. I can vouch for the fact that is IS cold there, and winter lasts a long time. One of our children was born in Williston. Also, the hottest this Texan has ever been was in Williston. There was no air condition, and we couldn’t figure out how to remove the storm windows for a while. After we figured that out, and could raise the windows, it was a bit better.

We loved it there! The friendly people made up for the long, cold winter. Our friends there used to joke that they hoped summer would come on a weekend so they could have a picnic.

Hot? Begging many pardons Madame but you want hot? Come to the Jersey Shore. Typical hot day here is anytime from May to September with daytime temps at 80/90+ with humidity anywhere from 36 to 47%. Humidity is a killer. Temps at 100% too.
