Yep it’s stupid. Had round trip tickets for me and niece in June. She would up in the hospital at the last minute and couldn’t go. Didn’t cost them any more or less for that empty seat.

Not that I agree with the policy, but the empty seat does save them a measurable amount of jet fuel.
