I just don’t like cops. There were 5 sheriff’s deputies in my little neighborhood today writing up speeders. The speed limit is 30 and I’ve never seen one going more than what I suspected to be 40. Just in time for Christmas.
My dad was a cop. My grandfather was a cop. My gut reaction is always to take a cop’s side. But when my grandfather and my dad were cops the police were more like Joe Friday and Andy Griffith than Bad lieut.

Most of them go around “breeding a scab on the end of their nose.”

Assuming the speed limit IS 30, I always thought that 40 was greater than 30. If your “radar” proves to be accurate, perhaps they WERE SPEEDING.
Just for what it is worth, our cops have gotten pretty good at not doing that.
