Kennasaw is not what it used to be, or I thought it was.

First, it’s a blossoming college town(liberal). Then, everybody from NY, NJ, PA, CT and MI and OH is moving into kennasaw or Alpharetta.

Next, it’s a crappy rundown strip mall. In a year, that place will look like Jersey City. It is a welcoming environment for infestation.

The folks on the city council tried their best. When I saw the first vote on the news, I half laughed, half cringed.

I laughed because the muzzies where told to beat it, I cringed because I think it violated the 1st amendment.

What should we do? Outlaw Islam? Catholicism was illegal in GA at one time too. Just saying.

If I were a tenet, I move, asap.

What you describe applies to many smaller urban and sub-urban southern areas. Yankees are moving in in droves, fleeing the liberal north. Problem is, they are liberal as well, as they are addicted to big government and the “services” they got used to up north.

Missed opportunity.

The argument should have been that Islam isn’t a religion.

A religion implies belief - faith in a set of tenets - a choice to believe in those tenets.

In Islam, if you arrive at a point where you no longer believe, you are not allowed to leave the religion.

That would make it a system of government. The laws of Islam have superseded the rights citizens of the US have under the constitution - including and especially the 1st Amendment.

Islam can’t enjoy the protections under that amendment on one hand and deny its members the freedoms on the other.

If I no longer agree with Catholicism, Taoism, Christianity, LDS, Buddhism, Zoroasterism, Gozar worship, etc, I am free to leave the faith and there are no encumbrances on the person leaving.

Not true of Islam.

Furthermore, since it is a system of government, and since our Constitution does not provide any legal basis for any other government than the ones between the feds and the states, Islam violates the Constitution.

Islam can come under compliance if:

1. It rejects the Medina Quran in its entirety.
2. Treats its adherents equally under the laws of the United States. No honor killing, polygamy, female circumcision.
3. Allows its adherents to ‘fall away’ from Islam without any stigma, penalty, or threat to life or property.

Until it does, its practice should be looked upon as a rebellion or coup d’etat would. Unless this is the case, all of its property should be either sold, or forfeited, since we have no treaty with Islam as we currently do with the ONLY OTHER RECOGNIZED SOVEREIGN GOVERNMENTS OCCUPYING LANDS WITHIN THE CONTIGUOUS 48 STATES: The Native American Tribal Nations.

I would have voted no on all the grounds I stated. “You can have my yes vote when Islam meets the following terms and conditions, otherwise, it’s not a religion.”
