Cleveland Police Union wants apology for Andrew Hawkins' Tamir Rice shirt

The head of the Cleveland Police Union is demanding an apology after Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins wore a shirt before Sunday's game that read, "Justice for Tamir Rice - John Crawford."

Rice, a 12-year-old boy, died last month after he was shot by a Cleveland police officer who reportedly mistook his air gun for a real firearm. Crawford was shot and killed by police in August while holding an air rifle in a Wal-Mart.

“According to this report: “Show me your hands” - police Kid reaches for gun “Drop the gun” - police “ That would have all had to happen in a 1 second timeframe according to the video we have all seen. Subtract the reaction time of the kid and the cop and that scenario is impossible. You have no way of knowing that. Is there a version with sound? Provide link. Otherwise, we do see the kid reacting to the police and walking forward to the front of the gazebo, a number of steps. This could be visually are audibly. We don't know if the cops used their speaker system to speak to the kid first? What is establishing your time frame? Arguing facts not in evidence is all right for urban myth and mob actions, but not legal proceeding. If you can support your contention, provide that information, otherwise it is just what you want to believe not what happened and not going to get any further response.
