In Iraq, Sunni tribes pay heavy toll for joining fight against Islamic State

Leaders of Sunni tribes in Iraq who have joined the battle against the Islamic State say jihadist sleeper cells in their tribes are undermining their ability to fight back.

Iraqi Sheikh Naim al-Gaood was awakened before dawn Thursday, with the grim news that Islamic State fighters had launched a fresh attack on his Sunni tribal area 120 miles northwest of Baghdad.

By nightfall, outmanned and outgunned by Islamic State (IS) forces, and with very little American or Iraqi government support, Mr. Gaood’s Albu Nimr tribe had lost control of 15 villages and seen dozens of its members taken prisoner.

The death of five more Albu Nimr fighters brought the tribe’s death toll this year to 744, he says, which includes some 500 slaughtered by IS in late October and early November.

That massacre was taken to be a clear message to Iraq’s embattled Sunni tribal leaders not to oppose the IS jihadists as they fight back against a growing array of adversaries seeking to undo the lightning gains of spring and summer.

In a final humiliation Thursday, IS sent Gaood a text message: “We will raise our flag upon your noses.”

As Sunni tribes have been forced to choose sides – pro-IS or anti-IS, with many shades of gray in between – new divisions have brought accumulating blood feuds and a scale of slaughter in Anbar Province that is tearing at Iraq’s Sunni social fabric like never before.

Local leaders say IS intimidation is undermining the ability of any tribe to fight back, by using sleeper cells and systematic cleansing of anti-IS figures within the tribe.

While America is walking around protesting with “I can’t breathe” taped over thier mouths...the spectre of Satan is still forming a Caliphate.

You live inside a tribal culture you well act like it.

A lot of these people live and act like it is still pre 1900.

Political correctness and every culture is equal, liberal BS have prevented us from destroying this evil.

If they want to live in the modern world and not act like savages they have to give up their savage ways.

Christianity is the key even through there were times where we had are troubles for the most part the Christian world over came them.

It is very hard to state but the dumbing down is beginning to pay off certain segments of the society while other, minority (no, not “minorities”) segments are aghast, scared and understand what devolution is. Nobody thought in our lifetimes that reality TV shows would headline and supplant real headlines.
We are EXTREMELY vulnerable to a multitude of threats, both domestic and foreign. What would the Founding Fathers have to say about us as they shake their heads in disbelief.

These are principalities and powers at work and they are reshaping entire areas, the middle east is being staged for a showdown, obama tried to force the muslim brotherhood onto them but was met with resistance from Egypt and elsewhere, so it has the appearance of being on to another method to effect the desired ‘hope and change’ for the middle east, (the ultimate goal is to destroy Israel outright)

These same forces are on the move right here, its happening in between the bread and circus game shows and reality TV and faked economic data and smiling politicians and Christmas parades and pumped up stock markets, with happy black Fridays and using staged protests with feigned outrage and leftist activist proselytizing all being overlaid with an almost daily grinding down with executive orders and regulations and forced compliance to unconstitutional government mandates,

All intended to destroy the middle class and destroy our freedoms, to create a compliant and reliant submissive population,

This is how tyranny begins in a nation, this is how a beast can rise up from the sea in the book of Revelation.

There is quickly becoming no place left to stand, where its just between us and God. Instead they are increasingly at every opportunity placing government between us and God.

This is Isaiah Chapter 5 being fulfilled.

Every bit as evil and deadly as if ISIS was patrolling the streets of downtown Boston, all designed to separate believers away from God, its just being accomplished with a much more subtle approach than having a train of SUVs pulling up outside your front door with a swarm of machete and machine gun wielding thugs demanding you immediately bow before their God or be beheaded,

This would not have been hard to predict.
You turn your back on Islam and collaborate with Infidels on Muslim soil by fighting against fundamental Muslims, you get the death penalty. -Tom
