I'm not anti fraternity, and don't think they are the most dangerous, but any place with a bunch of drunk guys isn't a safe place, or arguably an appropriate place for a woman. It doesn't take much googling to find actual fraternity rape convictions.

It is not a serious argument that a fraternity is safer than a student union, a library, or a restaurant. I hope people with daughters given them more thoughtful advice.

Did you read through the story and notice that 1) the rapist was not a member of the fraternity, and 2) the rape took place outside the fraternity house, after the rapist and his victim left the party together?
